🏠Seoul AirBnb(4 person in a room)6d5n RM383.68/per pax
- Not available anymore
🏠Jeju island Hotel(2 person in a room)3d2n RM302.31/per pax
- Iro Pension Jeju (Booked through Booking.com)
If you will need to stay longer at Jeju, this hotel is highly recommended. The room is nice and big, fashion and the view is really good. It’s far from the city so there’s nothing much to shop here. Location is inconvenient, need to go out and in.
🏠Seoul Hotel(2人入住一间)3d2n RM214.50/per pax
- Staz Hotel MyeongDong 2 (Booked through Booking.com)
Someone introduced this hotel, the location is about 10 minutes walk from the Chungmuro subway station. The room is not big, cannot even walk after placing 2 big luggage. However, the hotel is very tidy and neat and there’s a bath tub in the toilet.
‼️Optional(Can choose whether you want or not)‼️:

📌Tips:
1. Skipped the flight for AirAsia, I will explain the flight ticket to Jeju island. Instead of the one that I bought which is Busan Air, there is also more option like Jeju Air, Korea Air and so on. As we went to Jeju after New Year so the flight ticket is RM500 which is really expensive. I saw my friend’s ticket is only RM250 for non peak season with Jeju air. The flight ticket for Busan Air already include 15kg of check in luggage which you do not need to purchase extra luggage (unless you think it’s not enough). I also did research, if you want to put your luggage at Gimpo airport, it will be around RM30 per day.
2. We booked Tony tour’s ski group online, you will need to pay deposit first (by credit or debit card), then pay the remaining at the office on the departure day itself. You can Line them if you have any question, they reply really fast. After your booking is confirmed, they will send you the meet up point and teach you how to go. Then, there will be buses to send you to the ski location. It is said that they will go to different ski resorts upon request. The last time I went was to Vivadi Park, the fees for skiing is include renting ski wear and skiing props but glasses and gloves are excluded. You will need to buy but I don’t think you need it. The coach knows how to speak Chinese, teach really well, no language barriers. Everything will end around 6pm then you will be send back to the meeting point this morning.
3. We walk and take subway most of the time. We only take taxi once because we have no choice. It’s 15, 000 won from Dongdaemun to Hongdae, it is super expensive. I don’t dare to miss the last subway route from that day onwards. Then only I realize I took the most high-class taxi which is in black color. -_____-
4. I feel it is better to shop near Ewha Womans University, it is also cheaper. I think my boyfriend bought a pair of leather boots and it can bargain from 50, 000 to 45, 000. Really cheap.
5. Haha’s Barbeque shop is really expensive! And it’s not really special. I went there because I thought I can bump into some celebrities. However, I could not even meet the boss!
6. Don’t need to worry about language barrier in Noryanjing seafood market. The ajuma there can speak good Chinese. We ate around 200, 000 won for four of us. King crab is calculated by KG. I can’t remember how heavy is my king crab but I ate around 110, 000 won. 8 M size abalone for 20000. Bring to the restaurant, you will need to pay 3000 won per person before they cook. Used the shell of King Crab to fried rice and is around 6000 won. Others will be cooking fees. After finish choosing seafood, the seller will introduce some seafood restaurant that they trust to you. I believe the cooking fees for every restaurant will be different. (2017 updates: I think Noryanjing seafood market has been moved so pay attention to it)
7. For the rental car fee for Jeju island, you will only need to pay after that. Count by hours. If the hotel is too far from Jeju city (nearby the airport), there will be additional charges. I booked Mr. Xuan Yong (if you research online, his service in Jeju island is quite good). I contact him by email, he can write simple Chinese, no language barrier.
I think all this rental car service is a company. I thought Mr. Xuan Yong will pick me up but he told me that he is busy one day before we travel. Thus, he introduced another lady driver that knows how to speak Chinese to pick me up. Aunty Lim is an ajuma around 50 years old, knows how to speak Chinese but not so fluent. The car is Hyundai Santafe which can fit 2 big, 2 medium, 2 small luggage and 4 adults. I suggest if you want to book Aunty Lim, try not to choose hotel that is far from the airport or remote area. I stay in Iro Pension that is 1 hour away from the airport and we will need to pass by some mountain road. The street lights in Jeju island is also very dim at night. Nothing is wrong with Aunty Lim’s driving skill but I was quite guilty to ask a 50 years old ajuma to drive with dim lights and bumpy road for almost 1 hour.
For Jeju island itinerary, I already emailed Mr. Xuan Yong to let him know some of the destinations that we wish to visit. Do not need to specific what time to where, Aunty Lim will organize the route and time for us:
- Day 1 4pm-8pm 4 Hours
- Day 2 9am-9pm 12 Hours
- Day 3 10am Airport
Additonally, when I search online it says the rental fee do not include meal for driver but Aunty Lim did not use our money at all when we were in Jeju. She will always eat at another side of the restaurant after she settle down us. She did not ask us to pay for her food. When we go back, she even gives us a box (legit one box!) of Jeju’s famous Mochi.
