Used campervan to tour ¾ of the capital of Western Australia in the northwest, Perth. Drive for 1800km++ journey. During this 6D5N, we brought our 2 and a half year old baby to tour which is actually quite challenging! As we need to drive 4-5 hours! AND! There is this 4 hours journey, we could not connect to the internet and our phone do not have line! Totally no signal at all! Some more, we forget to download offline map, so it’s really challenging! Luckily nothing happens.
We use campervan to tour Perth so we do not have comfortable bed and wide space to move around. We will also need to eat, urine and defecate in the campervan. It’s really challenging for a baby! Luckily, my baby is really corporate, he did not cry and he even enjoy the scenery outside. Even if he is tired, he will just fall asleep. Because of this, we manage to complete this “impossible mission”.
Perth, a friendly and comfortable country. I feel it is very suitable for people who retired! It is also easier for Malaysian because the driver seat is at the same side as Malaysia. There’s also a lot of Malaysian here. So, I was quite enjoyed in this “unique” journey! If I have the chance, I will definitely revisit Perth and of course plan to stay longer.
The family trip this time, we spent around RM7500.00. 2 Adult and 1 Baby including:
这次的亲子游,花费RM 7,500.00 左右。2个大人及一个宝宝包括了 :
• Flight Ticket (AA) RM 1200.00 + additional back and forth luggage : RM 216.00
• In-flight meal:RM 72.00
• (Caravan Apollo Euro deluxe - Suitable for 6 adult, 3 queen size bed. As we brought a baby there so we want to stay in more comfortable campervan. Thus, we choose this car although it is more expensive. The year of the car is between 3 years or 100,000KM) = 6 Days RM3100.00 (Including insurance but exclude car roof and bottom of the car so you must check carefully once you get the car. This is because the maintenance might be very expensive) **I am quite satisfied with their service, you can use this link to book the car www.Apollocamper.com **
• Car Petrol (Drive for 1800KM++ in total) = RM1200.00 +- (Every petrol station will have different prices. For me, I think shell and Caltex is more expensive but if you are going to coles. You can buy AUD30 then you can get 4cents per litre discount for shell station)
• Parking fees AUD 5 = RM 16.50
• Food (6 Days fees, including Lobster shack to eat lobster. Ate fish and chips, squid dinner set in Kailis. Drink coffee at busselton _ ~Very nice!)=RM 800.00+
• Entrance fee(Pinnacle dessert parking fees AUD 12.00 (worth visiting)+ Lobster shack factory tour AUD 16 (AUD 8 per person) + Caversham wildlife Park Aud 56.00 (28.00 per person, children below 3 years old will be free, this is really worth going because you can get really close to the kangaroos) = RM 280.00+-
• Campsite 5 Nights AuD 178: RM 580.00+
• Optus (Bought two cards, each AUD10. Reminder, this only suitable to use in the city because there is no signal at all when you are in outskirts!! I used 6 days and 4 days going to outskirts which do not have signal at all! We bought in the airport and the staff (Chinese) is not really friendly. So if you want to use this card, you need to think carefully!): RM66.00
As there are a lot of members asking for my itinerary, so I organize it and share it now. Hopefully, it is useful! However, some of the journey is quite long so you need to do a bit of research.
Day 1 -> 5.35am reach the airport, bought discard Optus (Don’t suggest this company because there is no signal for most of the places) Then, take taxi to Apollo metrohome to get our car. Then went to corica patries to buy the tasty Apple Strudel. Really Nice! Watertown shopping..not bad, the adidas is really cheap! London court -> Fremantle market -> Kailis Fish Dinner -> lancelin Sand Dunes
Day 2 -> lobster Shack -> pinnacle Desert -> toodyay town for dinner -> waverock
Day 3 -> waverock -> hippo yawn -> Albany town
Day 4 -> Albany wind farm -> busselton Jetty -> Banbury farmers market
Day 5 -> Caversham wildlife park -> Swan valley Chocolate factory -> sandalford wine factory
