How would you like to feel the abundance of nature through the experience of a mangrove kayak tour? A mangrove is a forest of plants that thrives in an area where the seawater and freshwater are merged by the tides. The mangroves are a unique environment where you will encounter a wide variety of plants and animals, making this an exciting and satisfying activity for both adults and children.

This tour takes place on the Gesashi River, one of the largest and best locations for mangroves on the main island of Okinawa! It is located on the northern part of the main island and has good access to the popular tourist attraction, Churaumi Aquarium, and to Kouri Island, a recommended driving spot where you can overlook the beautiful sea whilst driving across the bridge.

This kayak tour is available for both beginners and small children as the river where you will be kayaking is calm, so you can relax and enjoy this comfortable experience. Your guide will teach you how to paddle and ride the kayak before the tour, and they will be with you throughout the tour. English-speaking guides are also available.

There is a two-hour course consisting of just a peaceful and relaxing mangrove tour, or a three-hour course where you can go out to sea after the mangrove tour and actively enjoy Okinawa’s beautiful sea. The two-hour course is for those over three years old, and the three-hour course is for those over five years old. Go as a family, group of friends or as a couple and make some great memories surrounded by Okinawa's beautiful scenery!
