Special thanks to travel expert Apple Goh for sharing her travel itinerary with us! 🙏RM1,800 per pax inclusive of air tickets and souvenirs sounds pretty good!😍 Of course flight ticket price varies according to promotion and seasons, and souvenirs depends on what and how much you buy, so who knows your Bali trip may be much cheaper than this? 😉

Bali, Indonesia 5D4N 【RM1,800+】per pax.

You may wonder why is my total spending per person for my Bali trip is so expensive. But that’s only because aside from all the attractions that I want to and have visited, I also went to a couple of live seafood restaurants 😋for a few nights, and also massage parlors 💆and souvenirs. So the RM1,800 is actually all included!

【Flight Ticket】✈️

RM300 per pax, 20kg luggage inclusive

【Accomodation】🏠

First night: Manggar Hotel RM40+ per pax

Second night: Odika Lovina Houses & Villas RM45+ per pax

Third night: Yans House Hotel RM80+ per pax

Breakfast included for all hotels, but Yans’ breakfast was the best! 😋

【Internet】📶

Because of an emergency, we actually bought a Wi-Fi package as soon as we’ve landed at the airport. The package was from Simpati, and the salesperson told us unlimited data for RM73. We thought for the price and the amount it seems fine, but who would’ve thought we were tricked! At the 3rd day we received message from the service provider that we had used all 6GB of data, and we have to top up to continue our service. 😡

So we asked our drivers to bring us to top up our SIM card, and ended up getting 8GB quota at RM23+ only, that’s like 1/3 of what we’ve bought! Then our driver told us that there’s not many unlimited SIM card available anymore so be careful!

So to be safe, ask your driver’s help when getting your Wi-Fi package, it will be the correct, safest, and cheapest way!

【Transport】🚘

RM240+ per pax

While Bali may seem like a small island, but the journey from one attraction to another may still take a minimal of 30 minutes car ride. So through recommendation from a friend, we hooked up with a nice local tour guide.

Originally the price will be much lower, but we’ve added several other attractions personally in addition of what the tour guide had planned for us, like visiting Lovina for dolphin sighting, that’s 3 hours from central Bali!🐬 That’s why the price can be much cheaper if you just follow the original plan.

Although it's only my boyfriend and I, but the car we got is still a 7-seater with mineral waters constantly replenished 😇

【Attractions】📍

Day 1:

Because our flight was delayed, we ended up landing at Bali airport at 10.30pm. And we have already contacted the hotel for pick up services because we knew that it was a night flight.

After the check-in we walked to a nearby restaurant for our dinner, and that’s the end of our first day. 😋

Day 2:

We originally promised with our driver Togog to meet up at the hotel at 9am, but his son fell ill, so he asked another tour guide Ediy to pick us up. The journey was fun mainly because Ediy is the same age as me, so we had a lot of things to talk about! 🤣

En route we stopped at a Batik factory and a Polo specialty store. We stayed for probably around 10 minutes because there’s not much to see. 😝

Next we went to the coffee farm and tested 15 types of coffees FOR FREE! Except for civet coffee, or Kopi Luwak which cost around RM14.50 per cup☕️, but still worth a try! During the tour the staff will guide you and explain all the coffee manufacturing and making procedures, and showcasing different types of coffee beans. You can also see a lot of civet cats here! 😂

For lunch we had Bali’s delicacy-Babi Guiling! But it was too tough for my braced teeth😭 It was a completely different experience compared to Malaysia’s roast pork!

We departed for Terrace Pool Swing Tegallalang after out meal! This is one of the prettiest Bali Swing where you can overlook the greeneries of Bali! The price is 200k rupiah for Super Extreme 60m, totally worth it for the experience and photo ops! 📸

Tirta Empul Temple, the entrance fee was 15k rupiah per pax last year, but it has since been hiked to 50k rupiah per pax. Personally I don’t find it interesting aside for taking photos and indulging in the local cultures. 🧐

Kintamani, the colder area of Bali, just like Malaysia’s Genting Highland. While it was recommended for tourist to try out local snacks while watching the volcanic mountains, but we didn’t do it as we’re tired after a whole day of traveling. Considering that our driver may be more tired than us so we left for Lovina to check into our hotel. On the way to the hotel, we stopped at Togog’s (the original driver) fast food eateries for dinner before calling it a day.

Day 3:

We woke up at 4.30am because we had promised to meet up with the driver at 5.30am to see some dolphins🐬After an hour of waiting the dolphins finally came out! While I am excited when I saw the dolphins hopping out of the sea, but there were about 30+ tourist boats chasing around the dolphins, so it’s kind of annoying. While we can see the dolphins in the recorded videos, but we can’t see it in pictures. (Personally I won’t recommend this activity for tourist because of the tiring journey) But watching sunrise 🌅on the sea is also a fun experience! 😇

We returned to our hotel at 8am for our included breakfast. At 10am, Togog & Ediy came to pick us up to Gigit Waterfall. Although the cascade was muddy because it was monsoon season, but it is still really impressive!

Twin Lake: one of the nearby location, also a pretty chill location with beautiful scenery of two lakes.

Handara Gold Gate: Must-visit of Bali. Because there was a festival at Bali’s infamous Gate of Heaven Lempuyang Temple, and we won’t be allowed to take photos even if we overcome the crowds and enter the temple, so we decided to visit another gate for photoshoots! 😝

Ulun Danu Temple: The pagoda seen in rupiah notes are found in this place. We left after some light walk and photo sessions. Because we were hungry, the drivers brought us to a nearby stall to try some local satay. It was really tasty, and different from Malaysian’s satay mainly because their ketupat are made with brown rice instead of gluttonous rice! 😋

Next we went to Tanah Lot to see sunset, the journey was about an hour of car ride. And it was totally not disappointing, with a lot of places for nice photos, definitely my favorite temple in all Bali! 🥰

We asked our drivers to bring us to restaurant with Crispy Duck for dinner, then we checked in to Yans House Hotel. I’m so glad they have large hairdryers!😭 At about 9.30pm, my boyfriend and I went to the street outside of our hotel for a walk, and I bought a pretty sandals. Then we visited a live seafood restaurant to have some crabs and seafoods. 🦀🦑🦐

Day 4:

Our driver came to pick us up at 6am to Sanur Beach for boat ride and snorkeling at Nusa Penida!😍 And the hotel had prepared breakfast for us, so we took it with us and left for our journey today!

Throughout our journey Ediy was following us everywhere, including the 30 minutes boat ride and also the snorkeling. We already see him as our friend! At first he said he was really scared because it was his first time, but in the end he still played with us!🏖

There was another driver named Kaster there who brought us sightseeing around these places:

-Angel Billabong

-Broken Beach

-Kelingking Beach

Kelingking Beach 🏝 is where the legendary Nusa T-Rex 🦖is at. The route up the island is very rugged, but it’s totally worth it for the sceneries (highly recommended♥️). You don’t even need to apply any filter for all your photos!

It’s about 6pm when we’re back on the main Bali Island. While we don’t have the time to visit Rock Bar (one of the location in the original plan), but our drivers said it was just for sea watching and music, with the entrance fee at around RM30 per pax, and a compulsory drink at RM50 per pax. At first we thought we have to go despite the price, but because we were too tired, so we decided to just head to Jumbaran for candle light dinner. The trip was about an hour, and Ediy must be super tired after this trip, so we decided to not tire him too much. Our dinner is accompanied with sunset and live band. 🎵

We’re back in our hotel at 8pm, and after shower and a quick rest, my boyfriend and I head out for a walk again. After a short trip on the street and Bali Discovery Mall, we had another live seafood meal at Blue Lobster Restaurant Kuta Bali (you can tell we really like fresh seafood!). The butter garlic grill squid with lemon juice is highly recommended, super delicious! 🤤

Day 5: Time to head home!🏠

Ediy came to pick us up at 8am. After a while of breakfast and laughs we head out to Uluwatu, AKA the Lover’s Cliff! The car ride needs about an hour OMG. 😱

Too bad for how long and harsh the journey is, we only spend a short time taking photos because we had a flight to catch🤣. But the good thing is the sea and waves were impressive🌊, and we also get to see monkeys stealing and breaking glasses, and catching ticks from each other’s back. Be sure to keep all your gadgets, sunglasses, and cap in your bag and hold it tight, as the monkeys are feral but smart, so they’ll try to steal your belongings!😂

We only stayed at the Lover’s Cliff for about half an hour, then we headed to Agung Bali for souvenirs! Caution! ⚠️Only buy your souvenirs and snacks here because it’s the cheapest place you can find! We shopped for about 40 minutes then we rushed to the airport.

Conclusion:

We’re so glad to have both Togog & Ediy to follow us around Bali on the second day, and we really get to know what kind of person Togog is. He taught us a lot, and we can feel that while he had a tough life, but he is still filled with positivity🔥🆙. And also thanks to the travel, we get to meet our new friend Togog and Ediy. 😇

Ediy is always by our side wherever we go. Every time we have our meal he’ll automatically eat somewhere else without bothering us. We did asked him to sit with us but he keep rejecting it out of professionalism. But we did pack some food for him as well, and he just pop back out out of nowhere after we finished out meal. He’s like an angel protecting us by our side. 🙆🏻‍♀️

The attractions in Bali all share really long distance, and are scattered everywhere. We’re so lucky to have them as our tour guides and friends. 😬

⚠️We’re not paid to say any of these, we’re purely wholehearted in recommending these tour guides for anyone interested in traveling to Bali. 😊

Feel free to ask us any questions. Although we’re not 100% professionals in traveling, but we’ll still try to share whatever you like to know. And most importantly, we don’t bite. 💛
