First time writing travel article so do forgive me if I did not write down some details 😜

Hoi An, Danang is really a relaxing place. We choose to tour ourselves because we do not want to rush by following tour. We spend more time on enjoying sceneries. I feel we are too relaxed. I will need to mention here that not every place accepts US dollar and not every place accept Vietnamese dong. Remember to exchange your money before going as some places receive US dollar but they give Vietnamese dong as balance. Thus, when you exchange the rate is not worth it at all. 😞

Let me share my itinerary

As I accidentally fell down before traveling so I will not be able to walk too much. Thus, we take grab even though it is only 1km away but because there’s many of us so it is not that expensive after we divided it.

The following is the total cost for 6 people

Airasia flight, luggage, seat (To 40KG Return 80KG) = RM2823

We did not purchase the flight during promotion period so it is slightly expensive. It can be much more cheaper

Additional insurance = RM234

We stay in 3 different hotels, one in Hoi An, two in Danang. We changed two hotels in Danang, one is slightly cheaper and one is slightly expensive.We want to experience budget and luxury trip. It’s actually quite tiring to keep changing hotel so try not to follow our footstep. hahahah😜

After you are out of the customs, the right side will be luggage and the left side will have a whole roll of people selling sim card. The prices do not have much difference. I used international line so I did not buy. My friend bought either 7 days or 8 days unlimited data. If I’m not wrong is 7usd (the whole airport only receive USD)

Day1

Reached the airport at around 3PM. We booked our car to Hoi An in advance. There’s 6 of us but we used 16 people seat’s van. It is super comfortable. After we check in to the hotel, we depart to the ancient city of Vietnam straight away. The sky will be dark around 6 something. So the sky is already getting darker when we left at 5 something. We had our dinner at the ancient city then take a walk along the river. The night scene with different colours of lighting is really beautiful.

Day2

We had our breakfast at the hotel on the second day. Booked coconut boat. Reached our hotel at 10am. The fare on coconut boat and car is calculated separately. It goes by meter for car, around 10 minutes away. On the boat, the boat driver will use a long leave to fold something for you as a souvenir. Then some will even let you to experience rowing yourself. The whole journey for boat is around 45min – 60min. You can depart earlier if you are afraid of the sun ray. It’s around 12pm after we finish everything. We went to the city to experience the different beauty of ancient city from day and night. The feeling is really different.

You do not need to purchase any tickets to enter the ancient city. However, you will need to purchase ticket if you want to visit Japanese covered bridge or some monument.

We took the same 16 seated van at 3 something to go back to Danang. Check in a hotel that is really close to the sea so we walk to My Khe Beach to have a look. We only stay for awhile then depart to sunwheel because the wave is really big. I don’t understand why not many people recommend this destination. I highly recommended this! It is very big. You will only need to purchase one ticket and you get to play the attractions inside including the super big ferries wheel. It is also a nice place for photo shooting too! You can photo shoot everywhere you want here. Halio night market is right opposite of Sunwheel. It says Halio night market will only open during weekend but when we passed by it is open even though it is Wednesday. So, the information online will not necessarily be accurate. We only passed by awhile because it is already late.

Then, we went to Quan Be Man that is recommended online to have seafood. I recommend Grilled shrimp, it is fresh and tasty. We ordered two plates because one is not enough for us. Then we used grab to go back. Taking grab in Danang is really convenient. It will reach 1 minute after we called😍(It’s slightly harder to book 7 seated car in Hoi An.

Don’t miss out Sunwheel if you love photo shooting. Every corner there is really suitable to photo shoot

Coconut Boat, ancient city and Baguettes is actually really nice but I don’t like the parsley smell. Remember to ask the workers not to put if you don’t like too

sunwheel.

I follow what is recommend by the internet to come to the shops along the roads.

It is not highly rated on TripAdvisor but it is really nice. I miss the Avocado Milk Shake so much. It is really really really nice!

Day3

The price for grab and rent car to Panama Mountain is almost the same. So, we rent car immediately. At least we do not need to worry about the transport to return. As the tickets were all sold out on that day so we have no choice to purchase separately. It’s 100000vnd more expensive so it is better to book in advance with travel agency. You can save a lot. The buffet is quite ok. Maybe we did not bump into tour group so it is not crowded. It is charged additionally if you want to go to Vietnam Coffee Garden or Wine library. We feel is very expensive and we do not have enough time so we did not go.

We start going down of the mountain at around 4 something. We had dinner at burger bro that is recommended by the internet. I feel the taste is normal, it’s not as good as what I expected. Then we went to visit Dragon Bridge and Premier Village. We used our own money and not the money from everyone else to pay so we did not record it as some of them did not go.

DAY4

My leg is not feeling very well so we decided to rent a car but you actually do not really need it. The grab is much cheaper. As the attractions in the city is close to each other. It is walking distance. We went Marble Mountain in the morning, entrance fee is 70000vnd per person. The road is really hard to climb so I wait for them in the car. I did not climb so they pay themselves too. Then we went to Son Tra Peninsula, Ling Ying Temple. The Guanyin Buddha Statue is really tall, very solemn, it’s place high up to see the whole My Khe Brach. Then after that we went to big c to have a simple lunch and bought some souvenirs. Then we went to 196 Coconut Cake to have tea. It is facing the highway, looking at the car coming back and forth to Dragon Bridge and the Ferries Wheel. I think one of the advantage of renting a car is we can put everything in the car😝

Then walking distance to the Pink Church, but it is Misa time so we could not enter. We can only take picture at the door. Han Market is at the same street so we went there to buy some local snacks. Then went to cong caphe to have the famous coconut coffee. I’m not a coffee lover so I could not differentiate is nice or not. I just feel it is very sweet but the workers recommended another thing that look like cendol and I really love it. Cong Caphe and 196 Coconut Cake is at the same highway. It is also facing the main road looking at Dragon Bridge and the Ferries Wheel. We went to wash our hair before returning the car. I don’t get used to lying down and wash my hair. They will help you to massage after finish washing your hair. I feel is very relaxing but my friends feel is normal. Then, drying the hair is a bit different than Malaysia. In Malaysia, they will help you to set your hair but here is just merely drying your hair but it is really cheap. The cheapest is only 80000, around RM13/14 but spent half an hour to massage. We went to The Dawn Beach at night to drink, one tower is not that expensive only 400000. You can listen to the music while looking at the beach. I highly recommend the pizza along the road side at The Dawn, full of cheese and it is really nice

The Marble Mountains

Took a photo with the renting car driver. At first, I called another one that knows how to speak Chinese but they recommend this one to me. Instead of language barriers, everything was fine. We went back to the hotel late so we pay extra 8USD to him.

day5

We plan to go to sky21 to take some photos but it is closed. It only opens after 5pm. I was cheated by the internet again as Google stated that the opening hours is 7-12 😒

Then we asked the fees to rent a car to airport is 15usd we feel is very expensive. 7 seated grab could not fit all our luggage so we called 2 grab and it is much cheaper.

After we reach the airport, we had our lunch at a hotel beside it. I recommend this hotel

Christina's danang

The service is really good. They know that I hurt my leg and they purposely give us a table downstairs where we do not need to climb up the stairs. The room is big and clean, it is very close to go to the beach too. The photos are from the internet but it do not have much different compare to reality.

I calculated my own expenses including buying souvenir is only around RM1500 including flight ticket, transport and accommodation. It is really cheap. I will definitely revisit if I have the chance because we miss out some places😊
