Koh Samui introduction + tips:

💖For first time traveling to Koh Samui tourists💖

Koh Samui is the third largest island in Thailand. It is a leisure spot compared to Phuket & Krabi. Koh Samui is a good place to enjoy life. Most of the westerners like to go Koh Samui for vacation. Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan which is nearby Koh Samui are diving spots. Friends who love diving can take a few days to get diving license here. Also, Koh Pha Ngan belongs to the island of Koh Samui too. The Full Moon Party which is one of the world’s top three wild parties will be held here monthly. There is also Angthong National Marine Park where you can see the sea on one side and the wonders of the lake on the other.

👙Best Time to Visit👙

The best time to visit Koh Samui will be around February – April (Which is also our traveling date). May - August will be their raining season and September – December is monsoon season. Instead of just having dry and rainy season, Koh Samui also differentiate by off-peak and peak season. It will have differences on the prices of hotel and flight ticket.

✔Off – peak season: Mid of October – December (Prices will be slightly low)

Normal season: May – Beginning of October (No difference on prices)

✔Peak season: February – April (Prices might increase up to 30% - 50%, so you will need to think before you spend!)

✈About the flight ticket✈

Airasia: Took one and a half hour to reach Surat Thani from KLIA 2, another one and a half hour to reach Donsak Pier by bus + 45 minutes to reach Koh Samui Nathon Pier by boat. Price for flight ticket: RM155.42 Including Insurance and Processing Fee (Flight is on promotion)

🏩Accommodation 🏩

For those who want to have fun is highly recommended to stay in Chaweng Beach. If you want to have a quiet and relaxing holiday, it is recommended to visit Lamai Beach because there is more luxury resort here. I choose to stay in City view room at Chaweng Skybar & Hotel (3-star hotel) for 3 nights.

✔Price for 3 persons room starting from RM160 per night
