Kata Noi Beach


Kata Noi Beach is a beautiful little sandy bay if you want to be near the lively Kata Beach while staying away from the usual tourist herds.

Wat Chalong


Poh Than Jao Wat is one of the more important Buddhist statues in Wat Chalon, It is located in the westerly old hall of the temple.


Getting There:

Wat Chalong is about 8 km south of Phuket City. Travel along Chao Fah Nok Rd (Chao Fa West Rd) from the Central Festival mall, and you will see the temple on the left side of the road.

Phang Nga Bay


A distinctive feature of Phang Nga Bay are the sheer limestone karsts that jut vertically out of the emerald-green water. James Bond Island and Koh Panyee are just two of the more famous spots in this bay.

Chalong Bay Rum Distillery


Chalong Bay Rum’s second facet is to organise visits of their distillery, allowing visitors to learn more about rum production and to discover the ‘backstage area’ of a successful business

Big Buddha


Phuket's Big Buddha is one of the island's most important and revered landmarks on the island.


Opening Hours: From 08:00 – 19:30.


How to get there: The road leading up to the Big Buddha is off Chao Fa Road East near Chalong. There are many red-and-white signs indicating where it is. Turn down Soi Yodsane and simply follow the indications for the next six kilometres up the hill. You can’t miss it.

Nai Harn Beach


Great for swimming from November to April, care should be take in the low season (May-October) when there can be strong currents. The local restaurants just above the beach make a great place to relax with a sundowner.

Karon View Point


Karon Viewpoint (which used to be Kata viewpoint) is one of the most frequented viewpoints in Phuket. From here, it is possible to take in views of Kata Noi, Kata Yai and Karon beaches.

Phuket Town Night Market


Phuket weekend market (locally known as Naka Market), located along Chao Fa West Road just outside Phuket Town not far from Central Festival, is a fascinating jumble of secondhand goods, curios, pirated items, live animals and a large amount of great local food to sample.


Opening Hours: Saturday & Sunday from 16:00 til 21:00 Location: Talad Tai Rot is located along Chao Fa West Road, Phuket’s main thoroughfare, one kilometre south of Central Festival shopping mall and is opposite Wat Naka, a Buddhist temple. Take a left at the first set of traffic lights.

Monkey Hill


Probably the highest hill in Phuket Town, Monkey Hill is home to a few TV and radio stations and a popular recreation spot where many locals jog on a daily basis.


Location: Near Phuket Provincial Hall and Provincial Court in Phuket Town. If you are coming from Thepkasattri Road, take the first road left after Phuket Prison situated on Dammrong Road. This is Toe Sae Road which leads up to Monkey Hill. Remarks: The road to the top of the hill is closed to traffic from 17:00-20:00

Khao Rang Viewpoint


Khao Rang Hill is one of Phuket’s most famous viewpoints. Located to the northwest of the city centre, its summit offers views out over the town, to the south of the island, neighbouring islands and along the hills forming the ‘spine’ of the island, upon which sits the impressive Phuket Big Buddha.

Jui Tui Shrine


Jui Tui Shrine is a popular Chinese temple that plays a pivotal part in the annual Phuket Vegetarian Festival. Located on Soi Phuthorn, Ranong Road, not far from Phuket’s main market

Old Phuket Town, is historical town forming part of Phuket City. The main street of Old Phuket Town is Thalang Road and other roads are Phang Nga, Krabi, Dibuk, and Yoawarat.



The Shrine of the Serene Light


The Shrine of the Serene Light is a beautiful old Chinese shrine which was, at one point, among the finest secret sites of Phuket Town.
