Just a 70-minute drive from Naha Airport, HOSHINOYA Okinawa is located in Yomitan Village on the main island of Okinawa. It is a hotel resort where you can feel the culture and history of Okinawa in a place that overlooks the sea. A view of the beautiful ocean spreads out in front of each room. Depending on the sun’s light, the view from the large windows changes, meaning no two moments are the same.

The wallpaper that adorns one side of the bedroom depicts Okinawan flora and fauna and scenes of life in the past. The painting technique displayed here is Ryukyu Bingata, a traditional Okinawan craft. It is the only dyeing technique used in Okinawa.

The infinity pool, which looks as if it is connected to the sea, was designed like a puzzle to include different depths ranging from 10 cm to 140 cm. What’s more, the infinity pool can be heated, so it can also be used in winter. Floating in the warm water, listening to the sound of the waves, you will feel at one with the sea and the sky.

There are many programs available at the facility, but we recommend Ryukyu Karate, a style of martial art originating in Okinawa. This martial art is a fusion of ancient Ryukyuan martial arts, Chinese martial arts and Japanese mainland martial arts. Here, you will learn the spirit of Ryukyu karate while learning basic kata (forms) and yakusoku kumite (pre-arranged sparring forms) to strengthen your core.
